This is our enthusiastic friend Caleb on his exciting new adventure to Disney World. This is me and my dedicated friend Christyn. When she showed me her "I heart New York" shirt, I just couldn't resist a photo opportunity. This is our dear friend Camryn, whom we miss very much. She moved to Virginia, which is very sad, but she is making a difference there by making lots of new friends and showing everyone her generosity and kind spirit.
Our classroom is made up of four teams;
The Hot Cheetos The Smarties The Olympics & The Adventurers As a whole, we have been working on collaborating and SYNERGIZING with one another. Each day, I try to incorporate one team building exercise or activity, allowing them to bond with one another to practice taking turns, and respecting each other's opinions. Mrs. Duty has been in our classroom with Math. As we begin diving into our geometry unit, we had our students go on a parallel line hunt around the room. We loved seeing them work collaboratively with their partners and get excited about hands on Math. This is our lightbulb wall. Whenever something finally clicks for a student, and a light bulb goes off in their head, I make them go "DING" and then their name goes up on the lightbulb wall. I love seeing how proud my students get of their accomplishments and bright ideas. In Reading, we have been working towards identifying different genres in literature and checking to see which category each of our books in our book boxes fall under.
